We have just returned from a weekend of wanderings in and around London Town and whilst there we managed to catch the Van Gogh exhibition in its last few days at Tate Britain. It was quite a trip on so many levels!

There are more than 50 works by Van Gogh, including self-portraits, the great Starry Night Over the Rhône, Sunflowers, and several masterpieces borrowed from private collections.

What a thrill to have been able to get up close and personal to the great Master of form, texture and colour with this retrospective of paintings influenced by the short time he lived in the city.

At BDA, we like to encourage students to stand back, both physically and mentally, when working on a design scheme and to consider the bigger picture. With Van Gogh, standing up close gifts a whole new perspective, one rich in energy and courage to rewrite the rules. A great place to start for any Creative!

If you haven't already done so, do go see Van Gogh & Britain (27.03 - 11.08.19) before it closes. Your senses will thank you for it!
